BUGS! AAAAAAH!
This game was submitted for the first Indie tales Game Jam.
(Note: for the higher fidelity experience, i suggest downloading and playing the game, thanks :D)
In BUGS! you play as a miner in an asteroid in the asteroid belt of Saturn, trapped in a small room where you defend a drill mining for precious ores, while getting attacked by big insects. Your goal: survive as long as possible.
Controls:
- WASD or arrow keys to move around.
- Left mouse button to fire your LMG, however you should watch out it'll not overheat.
- Aiming: strafing left or right while jumping makes you aim up and falling while strafing makes you aim down.

Good one! I related the sprites to Celeste at a first sight. The art is nice and the UI is made with care, which is a nice achievement. I kept playing for a while and had fun with it.
I noticed that sometimes the gun stopped shooting, my first guess was that it was failing but after I imagined it could be that it ran out of ammunition. If that was the case, I'd suggest the UI to inform it anyhow.
I enjoyed the idea and the sounds as well.

Ah ye, the weapon eventually malfunctioning is the heat system, it's the bar marked with weapon heat on the left side of the screen, which gradually fills with an orange color, if it gets to the top it has a small cooldown, it's so that peeps need to control their shots, and with every upgrade it's different. I get why it was a bit weird lol, i didn't add any effect when it overheated, i did add a sound but that may have drowned between all other noises haha.
